Very briefly and to the point I will tell you about what equipment I photograph.

I will try to explain the difference between the lenses, what I like to shoot portraits for, and what lens is a must have for me.

Let this be a kind of memo and a hint for everyone who is interested in this topic.

I take most of my photos on the Nikon D800.

I’ve been shooting at it for quite some time now. And I love this camera!

As a spare camera I use Nikon D700, and for shooting reports is great.

At the moment I am working on a new system – Fujifilm xh1.

But where is it better to start shooting? Which camera to choose?

If you’re just starting out, you don’t need an expensive professional camera at all.

Start with a simpler model and a few additional lenses. For example, a 50mm f/1.4 lens.

This will help you understand how everything works and where you want to move in the future.

After all, you need to understand that an expensive camera will not make a beautiful shot for you. Such shots you have to learn how to do yourself.

My favorite is the Nikkor 50 mm 1.4g lens and the Fujinon 35mm F1.4 lens

Nice picture and color reproduction.

It’s perfect for taking portraits, doesn’t distort perspective, but it can be „not enough“ when shooting in small spaces.

That is, in a small room, the person being photographed may not completely enter the frame if you do not have the opportunity to move away.

My second favorite is the Nikkor 28 mm 1.8g lens.

A great option if you want to get photos with „air“.

It is necessary to take into account, of course, promising distortions, since this is still a class of wide-angle lenses, you should not shoot a portrait on it.

The main thing is to try and choose what is right for you.

I will be glad to answer your questions about photographic equipment, prompt and help with advice!

I wish you inspiration and beautiful shots!
